Tiggy

Hey, my name's Tiggy and I'm a sport and exercise psychologist in training, working towards my full accreditation. Since studying at Durham and Loughborough Universities, I now work in premiership rugby with Saracens RFC, where I support a range of both players and coaches in optimising their performance and wellbeing in sport.

I am currently based in Hertfordshire / London and support clients through both online and face to face services. Being a sporty person myself, I have firsthand experience of athletic adversities such as major injury, performance anxiety, deselection etc. Being able to relate to my clients issues, alongside my education, allows me to build rapport and support my clients efficiently in a range of sports and levels of play.

Jordan

I'm Jordan, and I work as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist (in training), pending the completion of my doctorate this year (2024). I work with athletes from all kinds of sports including football, rugby, tennis and equestrian sports. Athletes that I work with range in age and include youth athletes and adults. It is my firm belief that everyone can benefit from some sport psychology practice, and I work with athletes from amateur level to professionals in their sport.

I help athletes with things like managing nerves and anxiety within their sports performance, building confidence, teamwork, and concentration. However, it is also rewarding to learn that an athlete is benefitting from the work that we do, within other aspects of their life.

Athletes based throughout Devon and Somerset often work in-person, whilst I also work with athletes further away via video call, or a combination.

Kate

My name is Kate. I am nearing completion of my MSc Sport and Exercise at UWE, Bristol's BPS accredited course, and also have an MSci in Psychology from the University of Bath. My sport psychology experience spans a number of sports, including football and basketball, with my work complying with the BPS Stage 1 guidelines and thus being solely on a group basis.

I am currently working within the Women's National Team's psychology team at EAFA, I write articles for the global paper Women's Soccer Coaching, and I am conducting research into the experiences of female football and rugby players within their sporting environments as part of my MSc. I am presently based in Bristol and regularly travel throughout the surrounding areas.

Marcus

I am Marcus, the founder of Ahead for the game. My practice has spanned over a few years now and has seen me reach the position that has required an expansion within AFTG. This  has primarily come through the. work that I have done with individuals and teams.

Aside from this, I am a huge fan of pretty much any sport, and use this passion in an attempt to understand and support the people that I work with.

Away from work I usually find myself outdoors or on a rugby pitch, something that allowed me to represent my country at senior level too.
